Once I repaired them, they work. One was connected backwards, and both had loose screws in the connector. Note that the one on the left has the red wire on the right (incorrect) and the one on the right has the red wire on the right. You can see the screws are very loose, especially the rightmost screw, it was half out. They seem to be working fine, now that I've repaired them.
