By Martin H J Hilvers Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]Bought & built this kit. Worked ok for 3 days, then the LM338k MIL (TO-3 housing) failed. Replaced it with an LM338t (TO-220), now it works ok again.
I also used another 3-wire display, with the display's V+ to the LM7812 output and the Vin to the LM338 output so it is always visible and does not fade with low output voltage.
Also made the switch in the AC power supply instead of DC output.

1. Compact;
2. Possibility of control with eWelink "out off the box" or another if the firmware is changed;
3. Inputs (Key 1 to Key4) for local control or another external system;
4. Access to the serial interface by pins;
5. Easy to attach to 5V relay module (select module with option to select High / Low control by jumper).

By John Smith Rating:  [4 of 5 Stars!]To follow up on my previous comment, R2 and R6 on. CTR-30B should be swapped. R6 should be a 2K ohm resistor and R2 should be the 330 ohm resistor.

By John Smith Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]This is a fun little holiday project for someone with average soldering skills. It will take a little longer than you expect, but the result is good. One issue I'm having is that the green LEDs on CTR-30B are very faint compared to CTR-30A. I cannot figure out why this is, but when I check the video associated with this product, it looks like the same green LEDs are faint in the video as well. For that reason, I believe there might be an issue with the circuit. Perhaps the resistor values are incorrect. That said, the project still came out well.
